3-second check · *#06#

Does your phone
support eSIM?

Dial *#06# on your keypad. If you see an EID number, your phone is eSIM-ready — and a RORO eSIM works the moment you land. No app, no account, no guesswork. No EID? Pick a RORO physical SIM instead.

Find out before you buy

Your phone already knows the answer. Pull up the dialer and read one line — the EID.

  1. 1

    Open your phone's dialer

The same keypad you use to make a call — on iPhone or Android.

  2. 2

    Type *#06#

The Device Info screen opens instantly. No need to press call.

  3. 3

    Look for the EID line

A long EID number means your phone supports eSIM. No EID? It's physical-SIM only — and RORO has you covered there too.

China-market phones — iPhone and Android alike — may show an EID, but their eSIM is locked to Chinese carriers and can't run a RORO eSIM, so choose the RORO physical SIM.

Quick questions

What exactly is an EID?+
The EID is the unique ID of the eSIM chip built into your phone. If your phone has one, it can store and run an eSIM — so RORO can activate over the air, with no physical card.
What does *#06# actually do?+
It's a universal phone code that opens your Device Info screen — showing your IMEI and, on eSIM phones, your EID. It works on both iPhone and Android, and it never places a call or changes any setting.
My phone shows no EID — what now?+
No EID simply means your phone is physical-SIM only. You'll get the exact same RORO data plans on a reusable physical SIM — we ship it to your home or hotel and you top up online without ever reinstalling.
Does a China-market iPhone support eSIM?+
iPhones sold in mainland China have the eSIM hardware disabled, or only accept Chinese-carrier eSIMs — even if an EID appears. For these phones, choose the RORO physical SIM.
